Building Futures: Practical Retirement Solutions for the Built Environment :

Activity Title:

Building Futures: Practical Retirement Solutions for the Built Environment

Description

How can architects, professional practices and construction businesses help their employees build a financially secure retirement?

For many South Africans, retirement savings are simply not enough to maintain their standard of living after they stop working. Yet for smaller practices and businesses, establishing and managing an effective employee retirement benefit can often seem expensive, complicated and out of reach.

In this 90-minute online session, financial industry pioneer Mike Brown, Managing Director of etfSA and a key figure in the development of South Africa’s ETF industry, will explore the changing retirement landscape and practical investment solutions available to employers.

 The session will look at:

 • Why traditional retirement models have changed and what this means for employees

• The shift from employer-funded retirement benefits to employee investment responsibility

• The importance of starting early and preserving retirement savings when employees change jobs

• The challenges faced by smaller practices and businesses in providing retirement benefits

• How employers can provide cost-effective retirement investment solutions for their employees

• The role of investment choice, diversification and long-term investing in building retirement wealth

• Practical considerations for employers looking to introduce or improve a retirement benefit for their teams

About the presenter: Mr Mike Brown

With decades of experience in South Africa’s investment industry, Mike Brown brings a practical perspective on how employers can move beyond simply providing a salary and help their people build a more secure financial future.

Whether you are a practice principal, architect, contractor, developer, business owner or HR professional, this session will provide valuable insights into creating better retirement outcomes for your employees.

Join us online and discover how we can start building better financial futures for the people who build our industry.
