The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) Host a successful Voluntary Association Forum

Johannesburg, South Africa- 17 April 2023, South Africa, the South African Council for the architectural profession hosted a highly successful Voluntary Association (VA) Forum on 31 March 2023. The VA Forum was hosted under the theme “Kha re ambe- Let’s Talk”, it was aimed at bringing together voluntary associations to discuss the challenges and possible solutions faced by the architectural profession.

 

The forum provided a platform for voluntary associations to share ideas. The discussions were centred around key topics such as Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements, Collaboration on Transformation objectives in the professional architectural profession, Professional Fees guideline (service-based fees/ percentage-based fees/ square meter rate), and Identification of Work (IDow).

 

“We are delighted with the turnout and the level of engagement we received at the forum, and we encourage collaboration and working together," said SAIA President Prof Omira Osman. “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all voluntary associates who attended and contribute to the forum. We are confident that the insights shared during the forum will go a long way in improving the status of the architectural profession” said SACAP Stakeholder Relations Committee Chairperson Ms Letsabisa Shongwe.

 

The SACAP is committed to supporting the growth and development of voluntary associations and will continue to host similar events in the future.
