SACAP launches new online community for registered persons.
The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is a regulatory body established in terms of the Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000 (the Act).
In terms of the Act, SACAP is responsible for regulating the architectural profession in South Africa.
The profession includes architects, senior technologists, technologists and draughtspersons (and candidates in each of those categories) and all persons who wish to practise in any of these categories are therefore required to register with SACAP.
SACAP is directed and managed by a council comprised of members appointed by the Minister of Public Works for a four-year term, with members being drawn from various stakeholder groups after a public nomination process.
