Engagement between the South African Council for the Architectural Professional (SACAP) and National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB)

We are excited to announce that SACAP and NCARB are on the verge on concluding a Mutual Recognition Agreement following our meeting on Wednesday, 7th February 2024

This means that registration of eligible professional architects from the United States of America participating jurisdictions/states and South Africa will be seamless and faster. Mutual Recognition Agreement streamlines registration processes and enables professional architects in both countries to more easily register and get licensed at either jurisdiction.

About SACAP
The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is legally charged to regulate the architectural profession in South Africa by the Architectural Profession Act 2000, Act 44 of 2000. The architectural profession includes professional architects, senior architectural technologists, architectural technologists, draughtspersons, specified categories, and candidates in each of the categories of registration, all of whom are required to be registered with SACAP before they can practice architecture. www.sacapsa.com
