Johannesburg- 13 May 2024, the SACAP and recognised Voluntary Associations extends its deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the workers who tragically lost their lives in the recent building collapse in George, Western Cape. Our hearts also go out to all those injured due to the devastating incident, and we stand with all those who are still awaiting the rescue of their loved ones. As the regulatory body entrusted with regulating the architectural profession, our register confirms that the Professional Architect who designed the build is registered and in good with SACAP. The building plans for the project were approved by the local authority. We support the investigation and we will cooperate with the investigators. |
