Notice to Registered Persons, Voluntary Associations and the Public

Council is enjoined by Section 4 (1), (2) of the Architectural Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 44 of 2000), to invite Registered Persons, Voluntary Associations, the State and the Public in a prescribed manner to nominate a new Council.

As prescribed by Section 4 of the Act, on 18 September 2017, SACAP published an invitation calling for Registered Persons, Voluntary Associations, the State and the Public to nominate the 5th Term Council in a prescribed manner. SACAP received 60 nominations in this regard.

However, on the 4th of May 2018, the 4th Term Council took a decision to issue a new invitation for the nominations of the 5th Term Council. Therefore the call for nominations which was published on 18 September 2017 is deemed null and void.  A new invitation was issued on 03 June 2018, and disseminated in the Sunday Times, Government Gazette, SACAP website. All interested persons are requested to nominate.
