Invitation to all interested Architectural Academics & Registered Professionals to serve as Accreditation Panel members for the 6th term Council

The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is mandated in terms of section 13 of the Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000; (a) to conduct accreditation visits to any educational institution that has a department, school, or faculty of architecture, (b) either conditionally or unconditionally grant, refuse or withdraw accreditation to all educational institutions and their educational programmes about architecture.

SACAP has twelve accredited Architectural Learning Sites (ALSs) across South Africa. SACAP is mandated to undertake accreditation visits to all ALSs at least once during the term of office. An Accreditation Board is appointed by SACAP to undertake accreditation visits to the ALSs over three days, throughout the term to evaluate architectural programs.

Application Requirements:

1)               A letter of motivation (comprising a maximum of one page);

2)               Registration certificate (Registered professionals)

3)            An abridged CV (comprising a maximum of three pages) highlighting her/his academic qualifications, professional registrations and memberships, and experience in accreditation boards (if applicable)

4)               Certified copies of qualifications.
