Dear Valued Customer
Please note that the heavy rains that
have been experienced in the most parts of the city including the Roodepoort
area have affected the functionality of the data centre located at the
Roodepoort Civic Centre. Water started heavily coming into the data centre,
that was noticed on Friday and monitored through the weekend.
The Group Information Communication
Technology and Information Management department had to take a decision to
switch off the ICT equipment for protection purposes. Repairs have been
arranged; however, it could only commence once the rains have subsided.
Services such as network connectivity to various facilities has been impacted due to Roodepoort being one of the network aggregation sites, that include systems which are hosted in the Roodepoort Data Centre converge infrastructure.
