In accordance with Section 34(2) of the Architectural Profession Act, 2000 (Act No. 44 of 2000), the South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) must annually determine Guideline Professional Fees after consultation with Voluntary Associations and publish these fees in the Government Gazette.
The SACAP Fees Committee has prepared the draft 2025/26 Guideline Professional Fees, having considered the following factors:
Changes in the average cost of providing architectural services;
The Consumer Price Index (CPI);
2024 Architecture Fees Survey
The Building Cost Index (BCI), and
Targeted professional profit margins.
You are hereby invited to submit written comments on any additional factors that should be considered in finalising the 2025/26 Guideline Professional Fees.
