The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP) is a regulatory body established in terms of Section 2 of Act No. 44 of 2000. SACAP regulates the architectural profession by setting standards for architecture education, training, registration, and ethical and professional conduct.
Position:
Committee Coordinator
Role
description
The
candidate will be responsible for the following:
·
Plan
and manage the Annual Programmes and venues for Committee meetings
·
Compile
draft Agenda and submit to the respective Manager, Registrar and Committee
Chairperson for approval
·
Prepare
Committee meeting packs and submit to the Manager Secretariat and the Registrar
for review and/ or approval
·
Ensure
distribution of meeting packs to all Committee members
·
Handle
travel and accommodation for Committee members
·
Ensure
provision of refreshments for Council events
·
Prepare
and maintain attendance register, declaration of interest registers and
confidentiality agreement of all meetings.
·
Record
all Committee meetings and compile minutes
·
Raise
matters in relation to adherence with internal policies and procedures.
·
Provide
information on the activities of committees for the production of the council’s
quarterly and annual reports.
·
Maintain
records of minutes and resolution of all decisions by Committees
·
Compile
expense submissions for Committee members’ remuneration, all their claims and
travel costs for attendance of meetings
·
Submit
expense submissions to the Manager Secretariat for verification and payment
Requirements
·
At
least NQF Level 6 relevant qualification (Administration, Secretarial,
Paralegal, etc.)
·
Minimum
of 5 years in a Legal Secretariat or Secretary role

In this position, you will be reporting to the Manager Secretariat.
