Architect – Industrial & Manufacturing Projects

Key Responsibilities

-          Develop architectural designs and technical documentation for industrial and manufacturing facilities.

-          Produce and coordinate architectural drawings and models using Revit.

-          Assist with concept design, design development, and detailed documentation.

-          Coordinate with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.

-          Ensure designs comply with relevant SANS standards, local building regulations, and municipal requirements.

-          Prepare and submit documentation for council approvals.

-          Participate in design reviews and technical coordination meetings.

-          Conduct site inspections and assist during construction to ensure design compliance.

-          Maintain strong communication with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout project execution.

-          Prepare, develop, and modify detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation.

Requirements

-          Master’s or bachelor’s degree in architecture.

-          Registered as a Professional Architect with SACAP, or eligible for registration.

-          3–8 years’ experience in an architectural practice.

-          Experience in industrial, manufacturing, logistics, or commercial projects will be advantageous.

-          Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.

-          Strong understanding of SANS regulations, building codes, and statutory approval processes.

-          Experience with building plan submissions and municipal approval procedures will be advantageous.

-          Valid driver’s licence.
