The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP), in collaboration with the COGTA Free State, intend to host traditional councils in the Thabo Mufutsanyane District Municipality on 31 October 2024 at Mabolela Traditional Council (Qwaqwa).
The primary goal of this roadshow is to raise public awareness about the critical importance of appointing Registered Architectural Professionals for drawing building plans. This will ensure that buildings comply with building regulations and standards and can withstand climate change challenges, such as floods and extreme weather conditions. Therefore, the role of architectural professionals in building communities has never been more critical.
Notwithstanding the above, this initiative underscores SACAP's commitment to promoting and advancing the architectural profession through informed and effective stakeholder engagement. By fostering dialogue and collaboration, we aim to enhance the understanding of the architectural profession's vital role in shaping a sustainable future.
We invite the media, public, registered persons, community members, and interested stakeholders to join us in this important conversation about the future of the architectural profession.
END.
