Dear Interested party

As a proud partner of the C40 Reinventing Cities Programme, the City of Cape Town is excited to be one of 9 cities around the world participating in the C40 Reinventing Cities competition. The competition aims to create an opportunity for architects, planners, developers, community organisations, etc. to submit innovative design proposals that transform underused urban spaces (made available by the participating City, Cape Town in this instance) into low-carbon and climate resilient developments as demonstration projects of a fresh approach to our built environment. The proposals should address 10 challenges categorised under the following three themes: (1) Zero-carbon urban development; (2) Resilient and sustainable urban development; (3)Combining environmental performance with high quality design and community benefits.

The City of Cape Town invites interested parties to a Public Information session on the C40 Reinventing Cities Competition on 14 February 2020 (09:00 am– 10:30 am) at the Banqueting Hall, Cape Town Civic Centre. The formal invitation will follow shortly.
