Our Fearless Leaders

At SACAP’s helm is a dynamic and cohesive team:

She has worked in film, media and education; and was involved in setting up a number of development NGO’s. In her spare time she enjoys movies, tai chi, books and plays cello. In Feb 2010, Dorothy completed her 2nd year in office as the Registrar at SACAP. She was employed for her knowledge and experience in organisational change management in the Public and Development sectors and conceives of SACAP as an instrument of transformation in the built environment.

Her career took her from teaching to law school; after which she worked for the City of Cape Town and Parliament. Before she joined SACAP in August 2009, she was an independent Management Consultant. She has been involved projects in 23 other countries, including USA, Scotland, India, Australia,New Zealand, Malawi, Nairobi, the Netherlands and Sudan. Her favourite pastimes include dancing, listening to jazz, reading, eating out and going to the theatre.

Sam is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and holds a diploma qualification of the Institute of Costs and Management Accountants.
