Newly issued certificates are batched and sent by registered mail to registered persons. The letter confirming registration that will be posted to the applicant upon registration, will serve as sufficient proof of registration to enable him/her to practice, i.e. to submit plans to the local authorities.
Duplicate / Replacement Certificates
The following procedure must be followed for the issue of duplicate / replacement certificates:
- The person requiring a certificate, either because he / she did not receive the first one, or because the certificate is damaged / lost, must put his / her request in the form of an Affidavit;
- The Affidavit must also confirm the person’s postal address;
- The original Affidavit must be posted or delivered to SACAP’s offices. Copies may be faxed or e-mailed to initiate the processing procedure; however, no certificate will be issued without an original Affidavit having been submitted.
